Just try it – it is neither expensive of difficult

I am proposing that you make your own soil from food and organic waste, add mineral and microbes to create a soil teaming with beneficial microbes and nutrients and grow plants and eat them while fresh.

This will increase your chances of a long and healthy life.

But why should you believe me?

We live in the age of the hype machine.

The food industry contracts mega farms to grow the raw materials for our food under tightly controlled conditions with specified amounts of fertilisers. It then processes this food in highly automated factories which produces food which is almost irresistible, verging on the addictive.

It then spend billions of dollars on clever, but highly manipulative promotion to get us to buy its products.

It is a highly efficient industry, highly efficient in making profits less so in protecting our health and the soil on which future generations depend.

And it is all so easy. Just throw a packet of this or that into a supermarket trolley. And if you are not sure it is working for you you go next door and get a blood test which shows you are deficient in this or that mineral or vitamin.

You can then buy from another major industry the pharmaceutical and supplement industry some pill containing the missing iron, zinc, magnesium, vitamin B12 or D or whatever is missing.

It is all so easy but is a misuse of technology.

I am not part of the hype machine, I don’t make wild claims and guarantees and special offers. I have no proof that this will work for you, everyone is different. But I do say you can try this for yourself and you will know if this is working. It is simple – if you stop craving food and feel satisfied it is working for you.

Why do I do this? Elowen my great grand daughter.

Our ancestor Homo Erectus was on this earth some million years ago, then two hundred thousand years ago homo sapiens, with the advent of technology, appeared with a huge brain. What was that technology? Fire which enabled us to cook and make food more digestible.

Our gut shrunk and our brain grew and we went on to produce ever more sophisticated technology. Better weapons so we could kill each other more effectively, one of the dark sides of humanity but technologies which could make life so much better or destroy the earths ability to feed us.

I was recognised as one of Australia’s leading innovators for my pioneering work on computer aided engineering. I believe technology must work for the benefit of our species, not destroy the earth.

I may be old, who want to listen to an eighty four year old man, even if he is still fit and healthy.

But if I don’t fight for what I believe in, that technology should work for the benefit our species who will?

And anyway bingo and bowls are boring.
